Laura Rysman is the Central Italy Correspondent for Monocle, Contributing Editor at Konfekt, and a longtime journalist for The New York Times, writing about culture in Italy within the worlds of fashion, art, design, food, and travel.

Her stories have also appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Wallpaper, Elle, Kinfolk, The Financial Times, Vanity Fair UK, The Business of Fashion, Surface, New York Magazine, and W Magazine. She is the author of two editions of the Wallpaper* City Guide to Milan books, and an author and editor of the Monocle Travel Guide to Milan.

A longtime resident of Italy, she currently lives in Florence.
